Top 5 Wednesday was created by gingerreadslainey and is now hosted by thoughtsontomes. There is a goodreads group where the monthly topics are posted and you can suggest topics on there too.
This weeks topic is: classes based on books/characters
Description: It’s back to school season, so let’s discuss some classes you’d like to take either based on books or based on characters’ skills. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO NOT USE HARRY POTTER, because that is too easy. You are supposed to make up your own classes. For example, you could use How to Dismantle a Dystopian Regime for The Hunger Games or Archery 101 with Katniss.
This week’s topic was really fun to write, it was probably the most creative topic I’ve been involved in. Well, without further ado, here are the classes I’m offering…
1- How to be a spider 🕷 by Inej Ghafa (Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo)
Inej is a very talented spy with Kaz’s crew. Her flexibility, agility and ability to scale and climb walls have made her the best ‘spider’ in Ketterdam. Who wouldn’t want to be taught by the best spider spy to become a spider spy?
2- How to grow wings and fly by Feyre Archeron (ACOMAF by Sarah J. Maas)
Spoiler Alert if you haven’t read this one yet… In the second book of the ACOTAR series we learn that Feyre has inherited gifts from all the high lords that have saved her from death. One of the gifts she’s inherited is shapeshifting from Tamlin. What’s better than to learn how to grow your own pair of warrior wings and soar the skies?… to learn how to do it from Feyre!
3- Dream a little dream of me by Ronan Lynch (the Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater)
In this thrilling class of dreams Ronan Lynch will teach you how to take object out of your dreams 💕💕💕
4- How to fly a fighter jet ✈️ by Rose Justice (Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein)
Rose Justice will take you on a journey from Paris to England in her fighter plane during WW2. She will introduce you to the most dangerous and beautiful skies and will show you how to survive a world where the beauty is no longer and hate has taken over.
5- Cooking Russian with Tatiana Belohlov (Tatiana’s Table by Paullina Simons)
Tatiana’s Table is a novella cookbook from the Bronze Horseman series. In this novella we get all the recipes that Tatia had cooked for her precious Shura and Antman. All authentic Russian cuisine. Who better to learn authentic Russian cooking than with Tatiana?
Hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I had coming up with these selections and writing about them. Which courses would you take?
