Hi all, this is my first time participating in the Top 5 Wednesday meme, and I couldn’t be more excited to do this. This week’s topic is Characters’ Fitness Routines You Want. It seems like I’ve definitely picked a hard one to start this journey with, however I am happy to do it.
Description: This can be interpreted a bunch of different ways! Fitness comes in many different packages. This can be about characters who are super fast, strong, agile, good at dancing, good at climbing, athletes, or foodies! Whatever it means to you. This is inspired by those routines you see in magazines for actors, but with more of an open mind and less body shaming 🙂
I have been on a bit of a YA fantasy hiatus lately, so I am going to pick strong for my topic and share some of the books I loved with strong (physically and mentally) characters in them. Hope you like it.
So here it goes…
1-) Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses
Feyre: She is a physically and mentally strong character. She’s outcome the hardships that life has thrown at her and found her happiness. She has had to hunt and provide for her family, and when it came to making hard decisions she’s always put her loved ones ahead of herself and sacrificed herself. These are some of the reasons why I believe she’s physically and mentally strong.
2-) Ronan Lynch from the Raven Cycle series
Ronan: He is the strongest out of group of 5 friends. His anger fuels his strength and he has many reasons to be angry for. He’s rather the bad boy of the group, however, his story is heart breaking and beautiful. Beneath the angry bad boy, there is a fragile person waiting to be loved.
3-) Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass series
Celaena: She is also another character who is both physically and mentally strong. She’s an assassin who has been trained by the best and is feared by all. She’s fast and clever and can take down anybody with a single blow.
4-) Akos from Carve the Mark
Akos: Akos is the son of a farmer and an oracle and has one of the more unique current-gifts. His current-gifts is to take others’ powers/current-gifts away. Due to his abilities, he’s a lethal person. As small as he was when he was first taken away, he grows very strong due to his training’s with the army.
5-) Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games
Katniss: She is another physically and mentally strong character. From her hunting skills to coping skills, she manages to be liked and survive a very dangerous game all together.
