I’ve been promising this post to my sister-in-law for a while now, so I am home early and decided to start working on it. As you all know every book lover has their favorite characters, and every romance lover falls in love with one or two or more of these characters. Below you will find a list of hero’s that I have completely, head over heels fell in love with from time to time and had to re-read their stories over and over again. Part 1 will only include the first 5 hero’s, Part 2 will follow soon after, within a few days.
1 – Alexander Barrington of The Bronze Horseman (aka Shura):
Oh Shura… Everyone that knows me, knows that the Bronze Horseman series is one of my all time favorite books. Alexander is a 22 year old decorated Red Army soldier, with a secret that couple potentially be very dangerous to him and to all who know him. He is tall, broody, easy on the eyes, and a bit dangerous. He is one of those characters that just walks right into your heart and claims it for his own. The love story between Alexander and Tatiana was so strong, it survived many obstacles. Alexander and his love story will rip your heart apart at points, but you won’t be able to help yourself from falling in love with him.
2 – Ray Sherman of The Last Hour:
Ray Sherman… He is an another hero who will rip you apart and break your heart but you will love him so much that you’ll wish for a hero in real life that’s just like him. Ray is a solder who’s served and seen some scary things in Afghanistan. We first meet Ray in “Just Remember to Breathe” as the love interest for Carrie, who is our heroine of “The Last Hour”. Ray is sweet, compassionate and has a haunting secret he carried home from Afghanistan. When this secret comes to life, everything starts to change. This is where the book begins and everything falls apart. Carrie and Ray’s story so beautiful, you’ll need a weekend alone, a box or two of Kleenex and a bottle of wine to drawn your sorrows in. This being said, you will love them both very much.
3 – Gabriel Scott of Managed (aka Scotty):
Gabriel Scott… The best way to describe Gabriel Scott is with Kristen Callihan’s own words.. “Gabriel Scott: handsome as sin, cold as ice. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. He’s a legend in his own right, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and an arrogant ass who looks down his nose at me.”
He comes across as cold and distant and dangerous, he can silence a room with one look and is tall and beautiful. However, the more into the book we get in, the more get to know about him. We learn about his childhood and the hardships he had to go through. We learn about how we became who he is now. His determination at success in every aspect of his life is one of the reasons I loved him so much. Another is that once we get to know him a little better, all his coldness melts away and we realize how much we cares and loves his friends who he considers his family. Gabriel and Sophie’s story is definitely very swoon worthy. I personally can’t get enough of these two and have re-read this book at least 3 times after it released. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good banter, and tortured hero.
4 – Alex Cassidy of The Trouble with Love (aka Cassidy):
Alex is another successful, tortured hero. He is athletic, broody, and distant. He is the editor in chief of the highest ranking men’s magazine called Oxford. His interactions with his employees who happen to be some of his best friends are fun and his interaction with Emma Sinclair who works for the sister-company to Oxford, Stiletto magazine. Alex and Emma have a past together, and their steps toward a future together is worth a read for sure. At first they are distant and careful with each other, but then the flirting starts and the sparks fly. Alex and Emma’s story is a very swoony second chance romance, I definitely would recommend it to everyone.
5 – Lincoln Mathis of Someone Like You:
Lincoln is Manhattan’s most eligible bachelor. He is fun, energetic, arrogant, charming and caring at the same time. However, in his fun and flirty exterior, sometimes the smile doesn’t reach his eyes and a dark cloud looms over him. He has a secret and he won’t share it with anyone even his best friends. He is living a lie.
Lincoln will make you swoon, laugh and cry. He will break your heart to pieces and put it back together with an easy smile. The love between Lincoln and Daisy is something I won’t forget for a while. This is a 5+ star worthy read.
Ps: Lincoln’s story is on sale for $0.99 right now, this book is part of a series however can be read as a standalone.
I hope you all like this list. There will be a Part 2 made of this list soon with more swoon worthy hero’s. Now tell me who are some of your favorite book boyfriends. Happy reading friends!!
