Today is the first day of Book Traveling Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Catia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite. Sounds like fun, right?
This is my very first Book Traveling Thursdays post, I am very excited for it. It seems like I have picked a pretty easy week to join which also makes me quiet excited. 🙂 Because if you know me at all, this will be a no brainer that I’ll be doing “The Bronze Horseman” for my very first BTT meme post. Hope you all like it and have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.
I just love this cover. I think it’s elegant and simple and to the point. This is a historical fiction/love story based in World War 2 in Russia. The reader falls in love with the characters and get to experience all of Russia had to offer during that time. From the white nights, to the gruesome Russian winters. It was very well researched and written.
Cover From My Country:
So, I’ve included two covers for this one. I’m a Turkish Canadian so the first cover is the Turkish cover – and I personally just love this cover. It fits the story like a glove and you’ll see that it’s actually included in my favourite’s as well.
The second cover is the English/Original cover and that’s what we get in Canada and also a favorite.
I think all three of these are very fitting covers to the story and I just love them. Really enjoy the Greek cover, the colours pop and it just fits like a glove.
Least Favorite Cover:
I don’t know what irks me about this cover, but I really don’t like it. Maybe it’s the fact that the model doesn’t look anything like the Tatiana I had pictured in my mind, or it could just be that I can’t actually see the Bronze Horseman in it. Either way, this cover does nothing for me.
I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I had writing it. 🙂
